What’s in the Records
The Officer Down Memorial Page honors more than 20,000 United States law enforcement officials who have lost their lives in the line of duty. While the majority of the records in this database are from the 20th century, some go back into the 1800s. Each entry provides details on one officer and may include
- department state
- date of death
- place of death
- tour of duty (length of service)
- incident date
Because photos are small, they will be included on the search results and record pages when available. There will not be a separate image associated with the record.
