This update fixes the following known problems:
  • Black images load instead of the requested image
  • Inability to save images to your computer when using Windows 98
  • Blurry or fuzzy images during download

Enhanced Image Viewer Installation
When the installation is complete and the Ancestry status bar window has closed, select the Continue button below to start using the Enhanced Image Viewer:
If you cancelled the installation, need to reboot your computer but will do so later, or the installation failed, click here to use the Basic Image Viewer.
The Enhanced Image Viewer cannot be installed on this computer
The Enhanced Image Viewer can only be installed on computers running Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, or XP and one of the following browsers:
  • Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above
  • Netscape version 6.2 or above

Installation instructions:
Step 1: Click the "Download Now" button to the left.
Step 2: Click "Open" or "Run" in the File Download dialogue box that appears.
Step 3: Click "Yes" in the Security Warning dialogue box that appears.
Step 4: Once the viewer is successfully installed and the progress bar is closed, click "Continue" to view the image you requested.
